TURN THE PAGE IN YOU
I’m sure you’ve experienced while reading a book, realizing that you’re reading the same paragraph over and over, but you’re mind has gone elsewhere!
This is what is happening in your body, the habits are going on under your conscious awareness, and influencing you in ways you’re not aware of, but you get glimpses of its effects in your attitude, psychophysical health and relationships.
Imagine reading the same page of the same book, over and over, and never turning the page? The same words, the same paragraphs, the same message. You may like the story or not, or some parts you like, but others you don’t, but you haven’t found anything that goes deeply enough to change it.
This is what carrying painful habits and misunderstandings from childhood is like. Carrying forward a story that keeps you locked in that same page can be despairing and debilitating. You’re tired of the same page, over and over again, but not sure how to turn the page? The good news is, you’re the author! And you can re-write that page, and start over, with the help of an editor!
How, you say? By employing a habit editor, so to speak, at The Listening Body®. I’ve had the honor of editing many ‘manuscripts’, and they re-emerge, renewed, refreshed and more ease-fully handled.
They’ve turned the page in themselves, and are happily onto writing new chapters, letting new ideas come in because there’s more space, and a more compassionate attitude towards one’s self. (As demonstrated in After/Before photo above.)
Reading their newly refined pages, allows them to keep turning the pages, and how to continue to allow change, and how to get unstuck, if it happens.
And it’s never too late to delete chapters that just don’t serve the journey of the hero or heroine, that’s you! Allow me help you heal those old scripts that take up space in your head that keep tension in your body, strangling any other efforts of moving on.
Whether its been a horror story, detective novel, romance or fantasy, the genre can change too, with the help of my experience of somatic and experiential methods and techniques. I’ve worked extensively on myself for the last 34 years, and I continue delving deeply in my meditations, clearing the road ahead.
You’re so worth the self-care that’s going to help you let go, undo, and write a new story! ~Cate
{Take it from a poet too, it’s all in the editing!}
